Biography
Following the appearance of his self-titled debut in 1978 and the follow-up Andre Ceccarelli in 1981, André Ceccarelli established himself as one of the leading young voices in European jazz. Enlisting elite jazz and progressive talents such as Didier Lockwood, Jannick Top, Christian Escoude, and Francois Jeanneau, together with vocalist Alex Ligertwood—recognized for his tenure with the Brian Auger Band and Santana—Ceccarelli shaped two distinctive recordings. Subsequent engagements found him working as a sideman alongside Sting and Bireli Lagrene.
