Chalino Sanchez, a Mexican artist born Rosalindo Sanchez, spent his early years in a modest Sinaloa village prior to his relocation to Los Angeles, California, in 1977. His union with Marisela Vallejo occurred in 1984, followed by his immersion in popular music in 1989 when he became part of Los 4 de la Frontera. Under the production of Angel Parra, he created a cassette recording and subsequently shared stages with Nacho Hernández and Los Amables del Norte. Attention and crucial radio exposure came to his music after a shooting took place at a modest venue near Palm Springs during one of his performances. Regrettably, Sanchez did not live to witness the rewards of his musical achievements. On May 16, 1992, Chalino Sanchez was discovered dead, having been killed at only 31 years old.
