Ingrid Karklins

Born in the United States, Ingrid Karklins crafts an old-world folk style that draws parallels to British Isles vocalists including Enya, Sinead O'Connor, and Sandy Denny. She produced a demo recording titled Kas Dimd in 1989, securing a deal with Green Linnet as a result. Following her 1992 label debut A Darker Passion, she released Anima Mundi in 1994. Both the album and her stage shows alongside bassist Steve Bernal, drummer Chris Searles, and guitarist Craig #7 garnered significant acclaim from critics. After Anima Mundi, dissatisfaction with Green Linnet prompted Karklins to sign with Harmony Ridge Music, where she issued Red Hand.
