Nengo Flow

Genre: Latin, Reggaeton, Latin Dance
Origin: Puerto Rico
Ñengo Flow, the Puerto Rican vocalist, rapper, and composer whose street-rooted identity informs every track, secured the title "The Real G of Urban Music." Equally valued for his guest appearances as for his own material, he remains a frequent choice among reggaeton and urbano artists and producers thanks to his driving, raw delivery and distinctive musical presence. He first reached listeners with the 2005 debut album Flow Callejero, which spread his celebratory party anthems to wide audiences. Over the years he has contributed to scores of singles and projects as featured performer, co-writer, or producer alongside names such as Ivy Queen, Don Omar, Bad Bunny, and De la Ghetto. Internationally recognized for a string of mixtapes headed by the 2011 release Real G 4 Life and its three sequels, he built a reputation as a classic reggaeton stylist who also possessed the contemporary skills needed to stay current and sought after. His third non-mixtape studio album, The Goat, arrived in 2020, and he has since continued issuing widely streamed singles, among them the 2022 track "Gato de Noche" with Bad Bunny.

Raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Edwin Rosa first performed onstage as a teenage reggaeton and hip-hop singer in 1995 at age 14. In 2004 he appeared on a regional mixtape alongside fellow artists. The next year he joined the Univision roster for his debut album under the Ñengo Flow name, Flow Callejero, though the ever-independent musician soon returned to the underground, issuing singles and mixtapes such as La Verdadera Calle (2010) over the following seven years. Beginning in 2011, Millones Récords started releasing his Real G 4 Life mixtape series, including Real G 4 Life, Pt. 2 (2012), which entered Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. That same year he contributed to Ivy Queen's Musa, now regarded as a landmark album. In 2015 the series name became his own label when Real G 4 Life Records issued the album Los Reyes del Rap and the single "Moving Kilos" featuring French Montana. The third installment, Real G4 Life, Vol. 3, appeared in 2017, the same year he guested on Kiubbah Malon's album El Final.

In 2018 Flow acted in the first season of Nicky Jam's autobiographical Netflix series El Ganador and also contributed to its soundtrack. His 2019 single "Te Arrepentiste" with Lyanno reached the urbano charts. March 2020 brought a featured appearance on Bad Bunny's hit "Safaera" alongside Jowell & Randy, followed by his own charting studio album The Goat, which included guest spots from Jhay Cortez, Anuel AA, Jory Boy, Myke Towers, and others.

Dozens of singles have followed The Goat. Among the strongest 2020 releases were "Vive y Deja Vivir" with Alejandra Guzmán, "Gatita Gangster" with Cazzu, "Profecía," and "Universitaria." The year 2021 yielded tracks with Dvice, Gaona, Farruko, Myke Towers ("Burberry"), and additional partners. In 2022 he released "Chukiteo" with Kiko El Crazy, "Delincuente" with Tokischa and Anuel AA, "Sufro" with Kodak Black and Anuel AA, "Gato de Noche" with Bad Bunny, and further singles.
