Sean Paul

While affiliated with the YoungBloodZ, Atlanta rapper Sean Paul, also known as Sean P, lent his talents to multiple successful R&B and hip-hop tracks before properly launching his solo path through the single "Everywhere We Go." He established the YoungBloodZ alongside his close friend J-Bo during their time at Miller Grove Middle School in Decatur. From 1999 to 2005 the group maintained a measured output, issuing just three albums via the LaFace label, which in turn enabled Paul to contribute guest verses on various recordings such as Cherish's "Do It to It," Lil Jon's "Snap Yo Fingers," and Sammie's "You Should Be My Girl." The track "Everywhere We Go" surfaced in 2007 alongside the mixtape Hood Anthems. In early 2008 an announcement confirmed his decision to adopt the Sean P moniker in order to distinguish himself from the dancehall singer Sean Paul. That alias would debut on Sean P's first official solo album, slated for release later that year.
