Simon And The Bar Sinisters

Under the leadership of guitar virtuoso Simon Chardiet, Simon & the Bar Sinisters generate sounds that resist every conventional label. Chardiet moves with seamless command between rockabilly, the melodic pop of Big Star, snarling British punk, and the chunky riffing style associated with ZZ Top, applying equal fluency to both his guitar work and vocal approach. Exposure to Simon’s recordings functions as an accelerated route to wider musical understanding. Witnessing the artist onstage equates to a hands-on guitar tutorial. Blending that foundation with the abrasive edge of N.Y.C. attitude, as captured in the song “I’d Be Grateful if You Were Dead,” yields a robust and distinctive result.
